What is writing and how have writers and artists bent open our expectations of what it is to write? This Study Circle spends time with queer and experimental writing and textual practice across a range of genres, from the plays of Sara Kane to the games of Danielle Brathwaite Shirley. Taking inspiration from what we read, we will use the space of the Study Circle to see if we can open up our expectations of not only what it might be to write, but what it also might be to read.

Reading for each session will be provided ahead of time, and reading will be kept to a maximum of 30 pages per session. This Study Circle, including all texts, will be in English.
