Under hösten 2022 har masterstudenterna på Rhode Island School of Designs arkitekturprogram studerat det svenska miljonprogrammets historia och konsekvenser. Med hyresgästorganisering och motstånd som inspiration har studenterna arbetat fram förslag för sju bostadsområden i Stockholms. Under den 12:e och 13:e december kommer studenterna att presentera sina arbeten under tre öppna sessioner på Hägerstensåsens medborgarhuset. Alla är välkomna att delta i diskussionen där vi gemensamt förfinar och fortsätter gemensamma möjliga visioner för framtidens bostäder.

In the Fall of 2022, the second year graduate students at Rhode Island School of Design’s architecture program have been studying the history and impact of the Million Program. Using tenant organizing and resistance as a guide, the students have imagined a series of design proposals for the future of seven housing sites in Stockholm. On Dec 12th and 13th, the students will be presenting their projects in three open sessions at Megborgarhuset. Please join us for discussion and critique as we continue to refine these possible visions for the future of housing.
