Communal dance making
In this study circle, dance is approached as an embodied social practice through which togetherness and resistance are enacted. Rather than a mere aesthetic display, movement becomes a method in imagining alternative modes of coexistence in times of crisis. What roles can dance, as a living practice, play in cultivating communal ties and collective care?
Together we will read, watch, write, and move, experimenting with collective creation methods. No previous dance or theoretical experience is needed. All are welcome.
The circle is held by Isidora Markovic. Isidora is a performer, choreographer and cultural worker who believes that creation is always relational: a collective act of discovery where the outcome remains unknown, offering, above all, an opportunity to wonder.
The study circle is facilitated in collaboration with ABF Stockholm.
